In 1976 film director Steven Spielberg was nominated in 11 categories for his block buster smash “Jaws”. Steve thought the film would have atleast won an Oscar for best actress but it didn’t. Out of the 11 categories, the ground breaking film only won Best Film Editing, Best Original Dramatic Score and Best Sound. I’m not saying that those 3 Oscars aren’t good enough because winning any Oscar is an honor. But I do think Steve was right when he said “Everyone loves a winner, but nobody loves a WINNER“. Jaws should have won an Oscar for Best Actress. The film was nominated in 11 categories and not one Oscar was given to a member of the cast who stood in front of the camera. I wasn’t there but I saw the movie before and I agree with Steve, they should have swept all 11 Oscars. Their may have been other reasons why he didn’t get the awards he deserved. He called it commercial backlash ha ha. Maybe he was right because he is one of the greatest directors of our time. I hope there isn’t an invisible cap on how much or how many times a person can win in their profession because that would be unfair. But take a look at this photage of Steve as he “watches” the Oscar nominations.
