Women and girls in red dresses with ribbons will take center stage this weekend at the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians pow wow.

Behind each ribbon, there will be a story.

At the 24th annual event in San Bernardino, the ribbons will represent individual indigenous women who have been murdered or gone missing. They may be people the dancers read about, or their own friends and relatives. Read more by clicking here: Desert Sun
