A former hip-hop artist on Bad Boy Entertainment’s roster is ascending inside another profession in his native country of Belize.

According to REVOLT TV, former Bad Boy signee Shyne (pictured) has been nominated by the Belizean United Democratic Party to run for a seat on the nation’s House of Representatives. Shyne (born Jamal Barrow) has an uncle named Michael Finnegan who currently occupies the seat. However, Finnegan recently said that he will not be seeking re-election.
