I was born Duronn James and it’s a long story [See Bio]. But I’m changing my name for a reason. I’m changing my name because something comes with the name Duronn James that prevents me from going past a certain point.

Too many people tend to get in my way. The last name James has been around since the 13th century, so that last name has many things attached to it. I’ll leave it at that.

The last name attached to my new name is definitely going to be “Excalibershine”. Excalibershine is the name of my environmentally friendly fraternity. I founded it in 2011.

I’m changing my name to Duronn “Justis James” Salvatore Merlino Excalibershine. I’m adding Salvatore Merlino in it for my father. The name Duronn “Justis James” Salvatore Merlino Excalibershine sounds kind of shamanistic but that’s not why I’m taking that new name.

I’ve created that new name for myself because just like Duronn James (Given to me by another), Duronn “Justis James” Salvatore Merlino Excalibershine has something with it.

And I’m the first with the last name Excalibershine. Excalibershine means “All Sun All Moon”, just like the name of my book.

I could just go with the name Justis James Excalibershine but something different comes with that so, I’m choosing, “Duronn “Justis James” Salvatore Merlino Excalibershine”. It gives me sense of purpose and direction. I feel fulfilled with that name.

I know the steps to take in order to make it happen [by law], but it’s still Duronn “Justis James” Salvatore Merlino Excalibershine without the law. Once again, I’ll keep everyone posted.
